Peter Frampton

Peter Frampton (22 de abril de 1950) é um músico britânico mais conhecido por seu trabalho solo nos anos 70 como roqueiro de arena. Ele tornou-se famoso, entretanto, como integrante do The Herd quando tranformou-se um ídolo das adolescentes na Grã-Bretanha. Frampton ficou famoso por ser o primeiro guitarrista a utilizar do recurso da¨guitarra falada¨, que seria anos depois imitado por Slash (Guns n' Roses) e Richie Sambora (Bon Jovi). Ele então passou a trabalhar com Steve Marriott (dos The Small Faces) na banda Humble Pie, assim como em álbuns de Harry Nilsson, Jerry Lee Lewis e George Harrison. Sua estréia solo foi em 1972 com Wind of Change.

A explosão solo de Frampton veio com Frampton Comes Alive, seis vezes platina e que incluía os sucessos "Do You Feel Like We Do", "Baby, I Love Your Way" e "Show Me the Way". Foi o álbum "ao vivo" mais vendido de todos os tempos. Depois que o álbum seguinte I'm in You foi lançado, Frampton envolveu-se em um sério acidente de carro nas Bahamas. Enquanto se recuperava, ele atuou no filme Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, um fracasso retumbante. Nos anos 80, Frampton voltou a gravar, mas nunca mais retornou às paradas de sucesso. Seu último álbum foi Now, quando ele embarcou em turnê com a banda Styx para promovê-lo.
