Segue uma carta que está na internet. Um pouco atrasada para postar aqui, mas importante para conscientizar e divulgar à todos um pouco do despótico e desprezível antro que é a Ordem dos Músicos.

Carta aberta ao presidente da Ordem dos Músicos do Brasil

Senhor Presidente: No mês em que se comemora, dia 22, mais um “Dia do Músico”, acuso o recebimento do habitual boleto bancário, que me envia V. Sa. sem falta desde 1985, quando recebi com orgulho minha carteira de músico, emitida no exato dia em que completei a maioridade. Acompanha o boleto a habitual missiva, a me lembrar que “a Ordem é dos Músicos”; e o adesivo com a frase “Músico, valor em si”. Uma vez mais, pergunto-me que valor seria este que só o músico tem “em si”. E constato que todo o conteúdo deste envelope me causa a mais profunda frustração.

Sinto pois a necessidade de confessar-lhe, Sr. Presidente, que este ano gostaria de receber outra coisa. Algo surpreendente, como notícias do processo eleitoral. Melhor ainda, a notícia de que o famigerado Código Eleitoral foi alterado, estendendo o voto a todos os músicos, já que há mais de 20 anos só votam os que lêem música, ainda que tal discriminação não tenha amparo legal e, é claro, todos recebam o boleto idêntico.

Mande-nos notícias também sobre os esforços que a OMB, autarquia federal integrada ao Poder Executivo, tem feito em nosso benefício, promovendo o debate e o encaminhamento de questões sérias como a informalidade, a pirataria ou a educação musical (matéria de lei federal recentemente aprovada); entre outras. Quisera conhecer as propostas, elaboradas por V. Sa. e seus pares, mui dignos membros dos nossos Conselhos Federal e Estaduais, para a urgente atualização da Lei 3.857/60, que no ano que vem completará 50 anos sem uma única alteração! Quisera mesmo saber quantos músicos lograram se aposentar no Brasil como músicos, neste período. E quem sabe ainda, que luxo, receber de V. Sa. uma prestação de contas sobre os valores arrecadados neste meio século, especialmente através do célebre Artigo 53 da mesma lei, aquele que destina à OMB 10% do valor do cachê dos músicos estrangeiros, assunto que a imprensa já abordou, apontando o subfaturamento do contrato dos Rolling Stones. Ou ainda, saber de V. Sa. que medidas foram tomadas para que o caso, amplamente noticiado, do jornalista de Carta Capital que recebeu a carteira da OMB sem saber tocar, não se repita. Ou quem sabe, Sr. Presidente, conhecer da argumentação que o insigne departamento jurídico da OMB terá preparado a fim de combater a tese, que nos tribunais vai ganhando força, da “ausência de risco para a sociedade” no exercício da profissão de músico. Tese esta usada, ao abrigo da garantia constitucional da liberdade de expressão artística, com o intuito de desobrigar os músicos de seleção, registro ou pagamento de anuidade à OMB.

Ficaríamos felizes em saber, Sr. presidente, eu e outros que discordam ou têm restrições a essa tese, que a OMB vem recorrendo das sentenças. Argumentando, por exemplo, que quando um jovem toca por diversão em um bar, existe o risco, ou mesmo a certeza, de que mais um artista que há muitos anos escolheu viver da música profissionalmente, terá de encontrar outro meio de sustentar sua família. Como V. Sa. já deve ter percebido, sou um otimista incorrigível e seguirei aguardando essas boas novas. Se não no dia do músico, quem sabe no Natal. Nem precisa enviar pelo correio: ponha tudo no site. Mas se for para me enviar de novo essa tralha, Sr. Presidente, por favor, não gaste mais selo comigo. Economize, que é tempo de crise.

Michael Schenker Group: Reading 1982

Some people like musical instruments like piano, others saxophone, i just prefer GUITAR!
And luckily there are so many good guitar players in the world that is really hard to tell who is the best. Anyway i don't think it really matters, each one has his own style and should not be compared. Michael Schenker is one of the best for sure.
So if you like good guitar playing like i do you'll enjoy this great sounding show at the Reading festival in England.
