Legacy of PSA and Classic Pedals In a new version

Few analog amplifier models have left behind the same lasting legacy as Tech 21's SansAmp series.

Created in the early 1990s, the original SansAmp Classic pedal revolutionized the field of direct recording and performance, providing guitarists and bassists with the warmth and dynamics of a tube amplifier without the need for one. Its unique switch configuration allowed users to accurately control the gain structure, equalizer nature, and cabinet emulation in a compact and flexible format.

It was this device that Kurt Cobain used while recording «In Utero», creating aggressive guitar tones right on the console. Around the same time, Chad Blake began using the Classic pedal as an integral part of his drum recording chain, running bass microphones through it to add punch, growl and harmonic rigidity. This tone became one of his signature.
