“After contributing to two Blues Bureau compilations, Jon Butcher signed with the Mike Varney-led specialty label in 1995 and released Positively the Blues. As usual, Butcher sings and plays with supreme confidence and conviction on this, his first full-length foray into the blues genre. Energetic Chicago- and Texas-style numbers like the opener, "Cadillac Limousine," have a distinctive rock sheen that fans of Butcher's earlier work will recognize and enjoy. The swinging "Union Hall" almost matches the soul and dexterity of blues godhead Stevie Ray Vaughan, and the Hendrix/Vaughan-influenced "At the Feet of the Master" is probably the standout cut on Positively the Blues, as the track features some of Butcher's most incendiary guitar work on record. Listeners who are fond of the bluesy classic rock that Butcher specialized in during the '80s will definitely appreciate this powerful and emotive effort.

Não é relacionado a música mas é importante

Lewandowski, o “mensalão ainda este ano” e o que está em jogo: a reputação do próprio Supremo
O ministro Ricardo Lewandowski, do STF, revisor do processo do mensalão — sem que ele entregue o seu trabalho, não pode haver o julgamento —, deu ontem uma péssima declaração. Segundo ele, o processo será julgado “ainda neste ano”. O que quer dizer “este ano”? Novembro, por exemplo? Todos sabem, e Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva não escondeu isso de ninguém, que o PT “exige” que o julgamento se dê depois das eleições de outubro — na verdade, gente graúda do PT tem assegurado em conversas privadas que vai ficar mesmo para 2013. Estaria “tudo certo”!
Houve um primeiro momento de indignação de parcelas consideráveis da opinião pública, que não entendem a demora do ministro. Afinal, ele não está com um processo novo nas mãos. A poeira assentou um pouco, e Lewandowski se saiu com a estranha conversa de ontem.
Entranha por quê? Vocês sabe que Tio Rei não deixa vocês na mão, né? No dia 20 de março (há exatos dois meses), expliquei aqui tudo direitinho, num texto intitulado Mensalão - José Dirceu, acusado de “formação de quadrilha”, está de olho no ritmo de trabalho de Lewandowski. E nós também!. Transcrevo um trecho em azul. Volto depois:
Por que é preciso que esse processo seja julgado no primeiro semestre? Cezar Peluso, que preside o tribunal até 18 de abril - no dia 19, assume o ministro Ayres Britto, que ficará pouco tempo no cargo (já chego lá) faz 70 anos no dia 3 de setembro e, por lei, tem de deixar a Corte. A escolha da ministra Rosa Weber - que levou quatro longos meses - já deixou claro não se tratar de um procedimento muito simples. É consenso que um processo com essa importância terá de contar com os 11 membros do tribunal. Assim, caso o mensalão não seja julgado até agosto, terá de ser adiado ainda mais. Duvido que se tenha o tribunal completo até as eleições de outubro. E pronto! O desejo nada secreto do PT estará se cumprindo.
Mas não é só: caso fique tudo para depois das eleições, aí será a vez de o próprio Ayres Britto, que faz 70 anos no dia 18 de novembro, se aposentar. De novo, então, voltará a questão: “Temos de ter o tribunal completo… Por que não se deixa tudo para 2013?” E assim vamos seguindo para as calendas…
Estima-se que o julgamento não dure menos de um mês. São 38 réus. O advogado de cada um deles tem uma hora para fazer a defesa de seu cliente - ou seja, 38 horas apenas de sustentação oral da defesa. Não se sabe se o recesso de julho terá de ser ou não suspenso - porque Lewandowski, até agora, não dá pistas do que tem em mente. Dá-se de barato que só as sessões plenárias das quartas e quintas serão insuficientes para dar conta do recado até, reitero, o fim de agosto, quando Peluso deixa o tribunal.
VolteiEntenderam o busílis? Se o julgamento não se der até setembro, Peluso tem de sair, e começa a novela para a indicação do substituto. Em novembro, é a vez de Britto. Mas não é só isso. Eu não sei qual é o voto de Peluso, mas boa parte dos petistas diz saber: eles o consideram um voto certo pela condenação da maioria dos acusados. Logo, preferem esperar que deixe o Supremo. Quando Lewandowski afirma que o julgamento se dará ainda neste ano, pode estar pensando em, sei lá, novembro, com Peluso já substituído e Britto eventualmente fora do tribunal. Embora, em muitos aspectos, ele seja o ministro mais à esquerda do plantel, os petistas não “confiam” muito no seu voto também…
Conclamemos, com o devido respeito, o ministro Lewandwski a concluir a sua revisão e a realizar logo o julgamento do mensalão. A procrastinação fica parecendo combinação de resultado, ainda que não seja. Os mensaleiros já tentaram jogar lama no Supremo o que chega. É hora de pensar também na reputação do tribunal, uma instituição que tem de ficar a salvo de chicanas. As instituições contam com Vossa Excelência, ministro Lewandowski!
Ai de um país que restar com um bando impune e uma Suprema Corte desmoralizada!

The band booked five shows in Texas at the beginning of the second half of their tour beginning on February 27th in Houston. The others include March 3rd in Fort Worth, the two in Dallas and finally March 7th in Austin. The two Dallas dates were always said to have occurred on March 4th and March 5th based upon ticket stubs and newspaper evidence. With the 2003 release of the first night’s soundboard on Chasing The Dragon came the claim that the shows were actually moved back a day so according to Empress Valley the proper dates are March 5th and March 6th, so the second night in Dallas on Days Confused is labeled March 6th instead of March 5th.
In the intervening years there has been nothing to confirm the memories of Empress Valley’s commentator and the physical evidence points to the original assumptions about the date being correct. Until something else surfaces that can corroborate their story we can assume that this recording is the second show in Dallas on March 5th. All of the soundboards released so far by Empress Valley from this era have been remarkable for their balance, clarity and detail and this one is similar to the others.<-(Info taken from Collectors Music Reviews).

Notes: Another day another killer Mr Peach recording from Rainbow’s Japanese tour of 1976. The recording is in fact superb, well balanced with all instruments well captured and clear, although the audience is very into the performance it does not interfere with the recording only adding the final element of atmosphere. Mr. Peach managed to capture so many great sounding recordings and this one is no different and is among the best of the tour. The same setlist is played as is with all the dates on the tour but this to me is a special night indeed. After the Over The Rainbow intro the band crashes into Kill The King, Ronnie sounds a little behind the group but quickly catches up and they deliver yet again an aggressive version of the song.
Released Pressed CD -> EAC -> Flac.
Sound Quality: Excellent sound quality. Taken from master tape. This is the different source from other bootlegs...(Info taken from original info file).
